【摘要】:Thistestmethodisdesignedtodetectholesinfoodserviceglovesmadeofpolyethylenethatmaycompromisethebarrierqualityoftheglove.Thismethodissuitableanddesignedasareferencemethodtoevaluatesamplesofpolyethylenefoodserviceglovesforholes.Thepresenceofholesisdefinedasacompromiseinbarrierquality.Thistestmethodisdesignedforuseasaqualityrefereeforholesinpolyethylenefoodserviceglovesandformanufacturerstoevaluatetheongoingcontrolofholesinfoodserviceglovesmadeofpolyethylene.TestMethodD5151isthetestmethodthatshallbeusedforthedetectionofholesinafoodserviceglovemadeofthesamematerialtypeasthatofamedicalglove,asspecifiedordescribed,orboth,ineachapplicableASTMmedicalglovestandard.ForfoodserviceglovesmadeofamaterialtypenotdescribedorspecifiedinanexistingASTMglovestandard,andifthematerialisnon-elastic,thistestmethodshallbeusedforthedetectionofholes.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedetectionofholesinpolyethylenefoodservicegloves.Thistestmethodshallnotbeusedonanymedicalglove.1.2Thistestmethodislimitedtothedetectionofholesthatallowwaterleakageundertheconditionsofthetest.1.3Thesmallestholesizethatwillallowwaterleakagehasnotbeendeterminedandisbeyondthescopeofthismethod.1.4Thesafeuseofpolyethylenefoodserviceglovesisbeyondthescopeofthisstandard.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
