【摘要】:?1.1ThisspecificationcoverstheminimumperformanceandmaterialrequirementsforresilientconnectorsusedforconnectionsbetweenreinforcedconcretemanholesconformingtoSpecificationC478andpipes,betweenwastewaterstructuresandpipes,andbetweenprecastreinforcedconcretepipeandlaterals.1.1.1Theseconnectorsaredesignedtominimizeleakagebetweenthepipeandmanhole,andbetweenthepipeandlateral.1.2AcompletemetriccompaniontoSpecificationC923hasbeendeveloped—C923M;therefore,nometricequivalentsarepresentedinthisspecification.NOTE1—Thisspecificationcoversthedesign,material,andperformanceoftheresilientconnectiononly.Connectionscoveredbythisspecificationareadequateforhydrostaticpressuresupto13psi(30ft)withoutleakagewhentestedinaccordancewithSection7.Infiltrationorexfiltrationquantitiesforaninstalledsystemaredependentuponmanyfactorsotherthantheconnectionsbetweenmanholestructuresandpipe,andallowablequantitiesmustbecoveredbyotherspecificationsandsuitabletestingoftheinstalledpipelineandsystem.1.3Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section7,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Foraspecificprecautionstatement,see7.2.5.
