【摘要】:Thesignificanceofthispracticeisthatcloth,labeledasUV-protective,whichwillultimatelybesubmittedforUVtransmittancetestingwillbeinastatethatsimulatestheirconditionattheendoftwoyearsofnormalseasonaluse.Therefore,theUV-protectionlevelultimatelyplacedonalabelestimatesthemaximumUVtransmittanceofthegarmentfabricduringatwo-yearlifecycle.1.1Thispracticecoversstandardizedexposurestolaundering,simulatedsunlight,andchlorinatedpoolwatertowhichcloth,labeledasultraviolet-(UV)protective,mustbeexposedpriortotestingforUVtransmission.1.2ThispracticeleadstomeasurementoftheresiduallevelofUV-protectioninfabricsorgarmentslabeledassun-orUV-protective,afterexposuretoconditionsthatrelatetoabouttwoyearsofseasonaluse.TheUVtransmissionmeasurementsmaybedoneinaccordancewithAATCCTestMethod183usingfabricspreparedinaccordancewiththispractice.ThismeasurementmaybeusedinsupportofalabelstatementregardingUVprotection.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
